PRograms & sERvices

Piece by Piece partners with local grassroots organizations, emerging movements/collectives, state/national organizations, and philanthropic organizations to build strategy and organizational infrastructure. Projects range from coaching organizations on management or data systems, to civic engagement and campaign planning curriculum, to year-long strategic planning processes. Organizations receive actionable plans and we support both the creation and implementation of these projects. This service is provided through a fee for service for organizations who are able to afford to pay which covers the cost for BIPOC led movement organizations to access this for free.

Piece by Piece builds leadership cohorts and communities of praxis for the social justice ecosystem. Piece by Piece runs these programs in house or in deep partnership with philanthropic partners. The communities and cohorts are designed with an opt-in framework that allows people to come into a community to build skills and troubleshoot together. These communities span geography, issues, and constituencies. These communities create stronger organizations and more connected ecosystems that can move in strategic and aligned ways. We design these programs with content experts to meet the unique needs of our cohorts while fostering community & collaboration.

Piece by Piece partners with nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and private & for-profit organizations to understand how race and gender impact their organization. We take a holistic approach that works with organizational leadership, staff, and constituents to understand their own biases, organizational culture, and organizational structures/policies that can be transformed to create more equitable organizations. There is no easy or one time fix to creating equity inside of our organizations or institutions, we help organizations create and implement frameworks that fit for their organization. PxP uses a customizable and interactive curriculum that creates individualized growth for participants, teams, and institutions that participate. 

Piece by Piece uses an equity and movement aligned framework to directly regrant or advise resources. At the core of these partnerships is returning resources to BIPOC, Women, Queer & Trans organizations and leaders. We support projects and funds designed to put directly impacted communities at the forefront of utilizing and managing resources to build organizations, initiatives and projects that tackle both short-term and long term needs. Through deep partnerships we create metrics and evaluation that is geared towards organizations creating maximum impact and learning instead of measuring direct outputs. Our projects range from holding and managing funds in house, to managing and supporting fundraising for pulled funds, to creating participatory grantmaking projects, to individual donor advising, to specific landscaping and research projects. We lead with our values of equity and impact to both managing and granting resources.
